Hi Everyone,
Tom here! How have you been today?
Today has been a bit of a surprise for us at ME.mory. CNN!
Nick and the development team of JumpButton Studio received a shoutout from the folks at CNN, landing on the homepage with this article: https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/17/us/gaming-industry-diversity-trnd/index.html?fbclid=IwAR2IhhThs_79Us4YFdyAGIc2z-pVlXe-S4XzHBgR66Tgs3cXIiuH2YsU6xI
The importance of including players of color within the game development space is emphasized within the article, as they by-and-large remain the exception still. Nick’s story and that of JBS is captured very well in the piece.
It amused me to be written about as a “young gamer” in this part of the article: “Compelled by the story of a young gamer who suffered episodic memory loss, JumpButton built an application to help him better remember his life events through data and his own memories. Madehdou recounts this as one of his most rewarding experiences since founding the video game studio.”
I’ll gladly take the “young” still, seeing particularly how I was in my twenties at the time of my injury. Yet I may be at the “edge of young” nowadays. :)
Moving on, what have we been up to and what’s ahead?
I continue to visit the office and rapidly cover ground with our team. We have been reviewing our user metrics to an increased extent so that we may identify meaningful factors. Of main importance are how to answer questions related to how extensively our users use ME.mory, and in what ways ME.mory has been used.
We have user feedback indicating tendencies, and so reviewing data further can put us in a great spot moving forward as relates to business pitches and which features of ME.mory we should choose to focus on as we grow further.
So, we will be staying busy. And warm. Please stay well where you are.
Until next time!
